Staying active and keeping fit is an integral part of Catherine’s life. She spent her school years playing all types of sports. Catherine has been a professional in the fitness industry for the last 6 years, teaching many forms of yoga including Yoga Sculpt and Strength classes with CorePower Yoga and is a 500-hour Yoga instructor. She discovered Reformer Pilates at a studio in Austin, TX. Catherine went through their Reformer, Chair and Tower training program and now is a certified instructor. Catherine thrives on growing her Pilates knowledge, so she is active in the Balanced Body full certification training program. Catherine believes "movement is medicine". She believes that one of the biggest benefits of the Pilates method is its emphasis on core strength and body control. Building a strong foundation and learning how to stabilize from the inside out are principles that can be applied not only in Pilates classes but also in other types of workouts, as well as in daily life. With an emphasis on form, fun and hard work, Catherine’s clients can expect a challenging and rewarding session. Catherine graduated from the University of Houston and spends her time with her husband traveling between Austin and Park City. They have 2 adult children and a German Shepherd named Sophie.
