Hannah Rice

Instructor
Hannah first took Pilates during her undergraduate program in dance. After the first semester, she was hooked! It changed her dancing entirely as she had a whole new relationship with her core and a precise ability to control her long limbs! Hannah received her certification through Cornish College of the Arts for mat and Vitality Pilates in Seattle for full apparatus in 2018. There are so many things that Hannah loves about Pilates, but primarily she is passionate about how it can help people access new possibilities within their own body. She enjoys seeing more mature in age populations feel confident in their walking, athletes recovering from injuries, desk-workers finding pain relief. The process of gaining autonomy over your own body is so powerful and can be done through Pilates. For the last four years, Hannah has made a priority for PIlates to be her main source of professional work. It is more than just a side hustle for her - it's a way of being in the world. Plus, at the moment, she is a full-time student at OSU pursuing her Master’s Degree. In addition to Pilates, Hannah enjoys reading, writing poetry, running, swimming, hiking and bike touring/commuting. Fun fact: she is also a handmade papermaking hobbyist!
