Staying active has been an integral part of my life since I took my first aerobics class in high school. My fitness journey changed when an instructor didn't show up to teach and I spontaneously filled in not knowing that this would change my life. I received my AFAA group fitness certification in 1994, yoga certification in 2009, cycle in 2012, and completed my apprenticeship Pilates training in 2018. Over the years I've come to appreciate that controlled movement without impact builds core strength and has reduced/eliminated my lower back pain from years of high-impact fitness. Building a strong foundation and mind/body connection are principles that can be applied not only in Pilates but also in daily life. With an emphasis on form, fun and flow (think spicy!) students can expect a challenging full-body class. Outside of teaching, I enjoy hiking in Colorado, socializing with friends over a delicious latte and spending time with my family and feline, Graycie.
