Vanessa's Pilates practice began in 1999 with a library book and a mat. After 2 years of daily practice she started sharing the strength and energy she felt from her practice with family & friends. She was teaching Pilates matwork before she even knew Pilates teachers existed! In 2002 she discovered the PhysicalMind Institute® established in 1991 to carry on the work of Joseph Pilates and decided to complete their 450 hour comprehensive Pilates Teacher training. She has been a Pilates teacher ever since! Vanessa's continuing education includes Stott Pilates, Michael Miller Pilates, and Balanced Body Pilates bridge. She is also a certified Yoga teacher 200 RYT in Hatha and Vinyasa flow. Expect detailed workouts based on her deep understanding of Pilates exercises and Pilates equipment. Her workouts will keep you in the present moment with interesting transitions and equipment fusion with precise alignment and consistent breathing cues. Outside Club Pilates you’ll find her practicing Yoga, hiking with my husband, cooking plant based food or making visual art. See you in class!
