Alicia Barnick
Instructor
Alicia has been part of the fitness industry since 2009 and brings an authentic passion for the mind–body connection into every class she teaches. She holds a BA in Psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College and is a Certified Medical Assistant, along with being a Nationally Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. Her background allows her to blend thoughtful movement with a strong understanding of how the body works, creating classes that are both safe and effective for all levels.
Throughout her career, Alicia has taught a wide range of fitness formats, including water aerobics, kettlebell training, HIIT, and senior fitness. She was introduced to the Pilates Reformer while teaching fitness classes at an orthopedic clinic in the Twin Cities, an experience that deeply shaped her approach to movement. Working in a clinical setting allowed her to see firsthand how powerful Reformer-based training can be for rebuilding strength, increasing mobility, improving balance, and restoring confidence in movement.
Alicia completed her Reformer Instructor training through Balanced Body and spent time working closely with post-therapy patients as they transitioned from rehab back into the gym. Watching her clients regain strength and independence, combined with her own experience as a dedicated Club Pilates member for over four years, inspired her to continue her Pilates education. She went on to enroll in the comprehensive instructor training program through Club Pilates and loves sharing that knowledge with others.
Today, Alicia enjoys working alongside a talented team of instructors while supporting an incredible community of Club Pilates members. She’s passionate about helping people feel stronger, move better, and build a deeper connection with their bodies—both in and out of the studio.
Outside the studio, Alicia’s greatest joy is spending time with her family, including her husband of more than 26 years and their three adult children, who are pursuing careers in medical sales, the military, and religious life. She also loves being active outdoors year-round, whether she’s running, walking, or spending quality time with friends.
