Barbara has been teaching pilates since 2017. She will tell you that discovering pilates was one of the most amazing things that ever happened to her. Her enthusiasm knows no bounds when it comes to listing all the benefits of maintaining a practice, and just how good it feels. As an instructor, she thrives on creating classes that are supportive, however, filled with opportunity for building strength and expertise, with a focus on deepening the mind-body connection. She is very excited to work with you.
Barbara will tell you that her life has always centered around sports and fitness, starting with competitive swimming in high school and college, followed by years of aerobics, where she holds an instructor certification, TRX/weight training and cardio dance. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, sailing, and taking care of her cats and chickens. She also has a practice as a licensed psychotherapist and meditation teacher.
