Sandi Smith
Movement Specialist
Meet Sandi
Originally from New Jersey, Sandi has called Greenville home for more than 22 years. She completed her Club Pilates Teacher Training Core Certification in March 2024 and has been teaching Pilates since May of that year. With over 12 years of experience as a group fitness instructor, Sandi brings a deep understanding of movement, motivation, and connection to every class she teaches.
Her passion for Pilates began with a desire to share how the method strengthens and connects the mind and body. Inspired by her mentors at Body Awareness Studio under Leslie Clayton—who trained with Romana Kryzanowska in New York—Sandi’s approach blends classical precision with a welcoming, empowering energy.
Sandi specializes in group fitness instruction, including Pilates and indoor rowing, with a focus on helping students build mind-body awareness, confidence, and functional strength. Her goal is for every student to leave class feeling renewed, energized, and proud of their progress.
When the Simpsonville studio first opened, Sandi led five back-to-back Intro classes for newcomers curious about Pilates—by the end of the day, nearly every attendee joined the studio. For Sandi, moments like these remind her why she loves teaching: seeing enthusiasm ignite and community grow.
Outside the studio, Sandi loves being on or near the water—whether kayaking, boating, swimming, or fishing. A fun fact: she’s completed a full indoor-rowing marathon (that’s 26.2 miles or 42,195 meters!) and is also a certified dyslexia therapist who works with children struggling to read.
