Amy
Instructor
Amy was a swimmer in college and has many fitness interests from kayaking to kickboxing to strength training, but became more intrigued with Pilates when taking classes with an emphasis on quality and precision of movement, which led to a noticeable improvement not only in Pilates but in every other form of physical activity, which inspired Amy to become a Pilates instructor. The mind body aspect of Pilates and how the practice of it translates into everyday living is important to Amy as well, who learned to heal her body through holistic methods after experiencing frustrating health issues that mainstream medicine was not able to resolve. Additionally, she used to work with and help people who have mental and/or physical disabilities with their health and so she also loves that Pilates is a program that can be tailored for any person depending on their bodies and their goals.
