Sam’s fitness journey truly began in 2013 when at the age of 43 she decided she wanted to become a runner. As a full-time working single mom, it was challenging to run enough and build strength.Becoming a part-time fitness instructor was the answer to this challenge. In February 2014 she became certified in a great Dance Cardio method called Jazzercise and her running continued to take off. To add flexibility to her routine she became a 200 hr Yoga instructor in July 2017, then furthered her education as a 500 hr RYT in 2019. Still running and with the goal of running a marathon in all 50 states, strength and stamina have been a very high priority. Sam had become enamored with Reformer Pilates as an amazing all over body workout while still toning and adding flexibility. As Joseph Pilates said “You are
only as young as your spine is flexible.” In 2021 she quickly became certified through Club Pilates and starting teaching in June 2021. Sam has a passion for learning new techniques and always upping the game. Originally from Overland Park. Sam was drawn to Club Pilates because teaching all things on the reformer is at the top of her list of “fun” however, her favorite class to teach is Suspend, using the TRX! When not in the studio teaching, Sam enjoys running, spending time with her dogs, friends, and family, and eating good food!
