{"bio":"Elizabeth Larkam, a pioneer in Pilates rehabilitation, was awarded the Medal of the Danish Society of Military Medicine for her work with wounded soldiers. She developed Pilates programs for orthopedic, spine, and chronic pain patients at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital (1985–2000) and helped create the internationally recognized Mind & Body Center. An author and educator, she wrote Fascia in Motion and contributed to Fascia in Sport and Movement. A Balanced Body Master Instructor and expert in multiple movement modalities, she has over 50 programs on Pilates Anytime.
