Thérèse

Lead Instructor
While at university, Thérèse was offered the opportunity to follow her passion into the dance world and became a Ballroom instructor. This Dance career led her on a wonderful learning adventure to Chicago and New York. A small injury brought Thérèse to Pilates and her mentors, Romana Kryzanowska M.T., Loribeth Cohen PT/Pilates and Fatima Bruhns, owner of The Pilates Studio. These splendid women trained Thérèse through her 600-hour Classical Pilates Certification in 1998. Thérèse moved to Montréal where she diversified her Pilates approach by working at Esprit Sport et Réhabilitation in a therapeutic capacity, helping clients recover from illness and injury. She also owned and operated a fully-equipped Pilates studio offering private and group classes on all apparatus. Being a student at heart, Thérèse taught Pilates while deepening her understating of balance control modalities with certifications in The Mattes Method, Trigger Point Therapy, NLP, Pilates Silk Suspension, and Pilates Buff Bones Osteoporosis Protocols. This path led her to achieve her Master Teacher Certificate through the Pilates Sports Center, the Pilates Method Alliance, and the National Pilates Certification Program in 2012. Thérèse’s greatest joy is helping her clients one-on-one or in a group setting achieve their best selves, living their best pain-free lives, and feeling strong and powerful!
