Lead Instructor at Club Pilates Tecumseh.
I fell in love with with practice over 12 years ago when I took my first mat class. Originally a yoga enthusiast and not typically one for fast paced workouts or cardio, I was pleasantly surprised at how great I felt with a consistent Pilates practice. Having been diagnosed with scoliosis as a teen, I found once I strengthened my core my back felt so much better. I also found that not only physically was I feeling better, but my sleep and mental health improved as well. In 2014 I received my first Pilates certification and have continued to expand my training including Barre, Reformer, pre and post-natal specialization, and an additional comprehensive certification. My goal as an instructor is to help those in front of me find movement that works for their bodies while honouring where they are in that moment. I hope to change the narrative of needing to change ourselves, but accepting and embracing who we are and building off that to feel like our best, strongest self.
Favourite Pose: I love a good Teaser!
Fun Fact: I foster dogs. I love all the doggies and if I could own them all I would.
AHA Moment: After struggling for over 6 years and finally receiving a Crohns diagnosis in 2020, coming to the realization that when I gave myself more grace and changed my inner dialogue, my body could heal and I could be my best self. Loving myself was the best medicine.
