A lifelong endurance athlete, Jayme grew up swimming and later added cycling and rowing to her fitness routine as an adult. In fact, it was rowing that led her to Pilates. Tight hamstrings were holding her back in the boat, so she joined Club Pilates during the offseason to work on her flexibility. Once she realized how much Pilates improved her reach, lessened her lower back pain, improved her coordination and gave her the core strength to better carry the boat on land and steady it on the water, she never left. She became an instructor because she believes Pilates is for every body type and that it just may be the ultimate cross-training modality.
