Jo-Anne Mirsky
Apprentice Instructor
When asked about Pilates, Jo will tell you her biggest regret is not picking it up sooner. A lifelong athlete who has always loved the energy and camaraderie of group fitness, Jo’s introduction to Pilates came in September of 2024, when her physical therapist recommended the local Club Pilates as a tool to help her recover from a knee injury. She quickly fell in love with the practice not only for its therapeutic benefits but for the sustainable way it builds strength and fosters a deep mind-body connection. Pilates is medicine and Jo absolutely believes it is never too late to start. Marveling at the consistent and remarkable recovery she made in just a few months, she decided to pursue teacher training in January of 2025. Whether you’re new to Pilates, returning to fitness, a seasoned athlete recovering from injury, or simply seeking to deepen your Pilates practice, this apprentice welcomes you to join her in her upbeat and challenging classes. For Jo, it’s all about watching her clients progress and seeing the smiles on their faces when Pilates starts to change their lives too. Outside of the studio, Jo loves spending time with her college-aged kids, reading books, hiking, traveling and watching concerts and musicals.
