For the past 13 years, Jillian has worked in the retail industry doing everything from in store management of operations and employee development, to website operations, buying, merchandising, and international marketing. Growing up she was very active in dance and sports but experiencing the transition of moving away from being constantly active to slowly sitting at a desk for 8+ hours a day, she noticed a huge change in her body and overall happiness. Like many, Jillian discovered Pilates as a last resort coming off of injury. Never having taken reformer Pilates before she instantly fell in love and was fascinated how accommodating Pilates was for any and every body. Typically used to doing high intensity training she was amazed how effective and efficient Pilates was. She understood how the exercises performed on the various apparatuses were going to help realign her body and make it deeply strong from the inside. Instantly becoming more and more obsessed she signed up for the Club Pilates Teacher Training Program and not long after she left the corporate world to fully dedicate her time to Pilates. When teaching Pilates, Jillian's goal is to help you build body awareness, establish good form, try things that challenge you, and leave class feeling strong, proud, accomplished, and grateful for your body and health. Jillian's long term goal with Pilates is to focus on rehabilitation and helping people achieve a better quality of life. After her husband suffered a back injury that was not properly diagnosed for 3 years, and then later underwent a spinal fusion in his early 30's, she firmly believes keeping the body active and flexible will aid in overall good health - allowing you to continue doing the things you love with the people you love. She's very excited for this new adventure and next chapter of her life. Outside of Pilates, Jillian is a mother to a beautiful little girl and a handsome french bulldog. She and her husband enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, getting out into nature, and supporting the arts by attending theater, dance performances, museums, and enjoying live music.
