Toni started practicing Pilates in 2010 with her hiking buddies as a way to cross train and prevent injuries for their endeavors on the trail. She immediately became hooked as she was not only seeing gains on the trail, but seeing so many improvements in her body she thought were impossible!
Diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis during middle school, Toni was unable to engage in youth sports and struggled with pain and inflammation until her symptoms began to subside when she was in her early twenties. It took her years to be comfortable enough in her own body to begin a fitness journey and she never really felt like fitness or exercise were for her until she found Pilates.
Toni is excited to be able to share the ways in which Pilates can improve functional movement, athletic performance and the mind-body connection. She believes Pilates is for *every* body and that no matter what brings you in the door, there is a place for you in the Pilates studio!
