Pilates Instructor
My love for Pilates began with a duet class I took with my husband just before the pandemic, at a Pilates studio owned/founded by a dear friend. That first experience left a lasting impression, and by 2022—while working at a barre studio and having earned my online barre certification—I took a leap of faith to pursue a local Pilates certification alongside a close friend/colleague. I began teaching contemporary, sculpt-style Pilates format that blended creativity with mindful movement. Driven by a desire to deepen my understanding of the classical Pilates method and its many apparatuses, I enrolled in the comprehensive Teacher Training Program at Club Pilates West Tacoma. This journey has allowed me to further explore the roots of Pilates while enhancing my ability to guide others through precise, purposeful movement. My background in movement includes Taekwondo, Modern Jazz dance, and cheerleading during my teenage and university years. Movement has always been a core part of who I am. Now, I gravitate toward low-impact, high-intensity workouts that prioritize form, function, and longevity—often complemented by strength training. When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me walking my two dogs, chauffeuring my kids around, or traveling with friends and family for fitness, self-care, and to discover delicious food from around the world. As an instructor, my goal is to help clients connect with the importance of movement through Pilates—at any stage of life—and feel empowered in their own bodies every step of the way.
