Adam is a Pilates late-bloomer, having come to it after a powerlifting injury. After completing a 700 hour Pilates certification, he realized the importance of motor control and proprioception in all fitness endeavors. Due to the nature of his Pilates approach, he is sensitive to the confidence issues that come with injury rehabilitation and brings a sense of lightheartedness to his intense classes.

Jennifer began teaching Pilates in 2012. She had been a personal trainer and fitness boot camp instructor for several years already, but loved the transformation she felt in her own body with Pilates. She wanted to share the amazing system of exercise that Joe Pilates created. She received the Comprehensive Mat Pilates Teacher training certificate from STOTT Pilates in 2012 and finished her comprehensive Pilates teacher training over the next three years with Balanced Body completing over 600 hours in training. She passed the Pilates Method Alliance Certification in August of 2015. Jennifer loves to help people find the freedom in movement that Pilates facilitates so well. A strong center with a two-way-stretch is the ultimate goal as your joints become more supported and decompressed. This strength with stretch and control creates a foundation on which all other sports and activities can improve dramatically. Jennifer loves to help people feel the difference Pilates can make after taking just one class! Jennifer continues to deepen her knowledge of the work through continuing education workshops and working out with other Pilates teachers and mentors around the country. When Jennifer is not teaching and doing Pilates, she likes to run, take all kinds of exercise classes, hang out with her husband, three awesome children ages fourteen, twelve, and ten, and her friends in the neigborhood either at the lake, the beach, or around the Atlanta area.
Laura first fell in love with Pilates when she took a course during her time at Clemson University. She was intrigued by the method, the history, and the way Pilates made her feel. After moving back to Atlanta upon graduation to accept a position with Teach For America, Laura found herself missing Pilates and looking for an outlet away from her difficult job. She began by pursuing a mat certification on the side and hasn't slowed down since. In the years following, Laura continued her Pilates education to earn additional certifications, including certification through the Power Pilates 600-hour Comprehensive Program. She has taught hundreds of clients at a number of studios throughout the Atlanta area since then. Inspired by what Pilates has done for her mind and body, Laura finds it particularly rewarding to help clients find refuge and relief through the practice of Pilates in the midst of stressful everyday life. Her passion for Pilates is apparent, and she hopes to help clients achieve a happier, healthier, more energized life with every session.
Taylor has been practicing both contemporary and classical Pilates for over 12 years. After being diagnosed with scoliosis at a young age, she began taking Pilates and Gyrotonics as a form of physical therapy to alleviate pain and even out the muscular imbalance. After realizing all the benefits Pilates had to offer, she decided to become certified in mat through Physical Mind Institute. Taylor taught at the university gym at the University of South Carolina during her time there and after school continued her certification through Peak Pilates. She takes pride in encouraging her students to take their practice off the mat (and reformer!) and into their everyday lives.
Joyce has been a Pilates practitioner since 2008 with international and nationally recognized certifications through Peak Pilates. Additional certifications include adult CPR with American heart Association and Pilates Mat with PhysicalMind Institute. She has a passion for helping others with their fitness needs, specifically making Pilates available for all fitness levels. For her, it’s not the quantity of the exercise but the quality of the movement to relieve and release everyday stresses.
Meaghan Novoa is an Atlanta resident, originally from Newnan, GA. Her experience goes back to her first jazz class at the age of 10 and from that moment she fell in love with dance, quickly picking up ballet and modern as well. At the age of 13 she was accepted to American Ballet Theater’s prestigious summer intensive and continued to dance through high school. She started her professional dance career at 18 years old with Southern Arc Dance Theatre. She had the pleasure of performing many featured roles in mixed repertoire performances, participated in the 2015 Modern Atlanta Dance festival and played the sugar plum fairy in their 2015 production of “The Nutcracker.” She has also danced with City Gate dance theater and Room to Move dance company. In 2015 she started her Pilates journey with Lolita’s Legacy. Pilates has taught her body awareness, control, precision, and given her the confidence and self awareness to live her life fully. In April 2016 she completed and received her certification with Lolita’s Legacy, a 500+ hour comprehensive certification. She loves inspiring both her dance and Pilates students to be more body aware. Meaghan’s favorite quote is “to be creative means to be in love with life. You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance it’s beauty, you want to bring a little more music to it, a little more dance.”-Osho
EJ found Pilates in 2003 and immediately fell in love with the intensity of the method while simultaneously being gentle and low impact. A fitness excursionist, EJ always maintained her Pilates practice and used the method to rehabilitate injuries that occurred during her somewhat overzealous attempts to become a marathoner and triathlete. While she still enjoys many forms of low impact functional fitness such as barre and kettlebell training, Pilates remains her first love. She began her classical Pilates teacher training program in 2013 and earned a Power Pilates 600-hr Comprehensive Certificate. She loves sharing in her clients’ health journeys and cheering them on as they gain new levels of strength and wellness through Pilates.
