Maren was certified as a Classical Pilates Instructor in 2014 following her apprenticeship with Dorothee VandeWalle at Metropolitan Pilates in Seattle, WA. Maren believes that Pilates is for everyone, regardless of fitness level.
Although Classically trained, Maren often teaches outside the “classical Pilates” box. She brings different, more contemporary styles into her instruction, inspiring her clients with an energetic and powerful workout. She empowers her clients to develop awareness and control of their bodies in the Pilates studio, and then take those skills into the rest of their lives.
Karen Swift was first introduced to Pilates in an effort to recover from a back injury she sustained in a car accident in 2003. Pilates was recommended by her Physiotherapist as part of her recovery program and she quickly discovered that Pilates not only helped relieve and improve her back pain, but also improved her posture and overall strength.Inspired to understand more about how Pilates worked, and by way of a self help program, she decided to not only participate in Pilates but take her interest further by becoming a qualified instructor so she could help others experience the benefit of pilates.
Karen qualified with Body Control Pilates (Europe's largest Professional Pilates organization) in 2005 and is dedicated to continued Pilates education by regularly attending courses and workshops to keep up to date with the latest research and techniques.
Karen, originally from London, now lives on Mercer Island with her husband, 3 young kids puppy and cat. When she isn’t teaching she enjoys spending time with her family and making the most of the opportunities the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

I am originally from Chicago, but I recently moved here to Washington from Houston. I have always been interested in using my own body to help improve my fitness and Pilates is a great way to do it! So I became a certified STOTT Pilates Instructor and that lead me here to Club Pilates. I aim to make each class fun, challenging and hope each client leaves feeling better than when they arrived. When Pilates isn't keeping me busy I love spending time with my other half Josh and two fur babies Tootie and Toki. Hope to see you in the studio soon!
After completing Club Pilates Teacher Training, Suzanna fast tracked to becoming a Club Pilates Instructor Apprentice. Eventually, becoming Fully Certified in The Club Pilates Method in February of 2017 - she began practicing Pilates within weeks of having her son via C-Section as a way to help get back into shape physically, and as an outlet mentally. She was hooked. Since that day in 2013, Pilates has been a way of life, and now a career. Prior to Pilates and being a stay at home mom, she had a successful 12-year run in banking. She could not be more excited to become an instructor and help others experience the benefits and rewards of Pilates like she did, with a deep appreciation for the fact that Pilates can not only be life changing, but is adaptable to many different lifestyles. Suzanna enjoys introducing people to Pilates and making the studio a welcoming place. She enjoys working with new mothers, beginners, and anyone who loves some quality time on the reformer. Suzanna also holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Washington, and is an expert in mid-80’s Pandora stations. If you are on the fence about Pilates, Suzanna would love to show you what it's all about.
