July 17: Jumpboard - Intermediate to Advanced Progressions

Take your jumpboard classes to a new level by introducing exercises that work the body in all planes of motion. This 2-hour workshop will teach you ways to sequentially add progressions from an intermediate to advanced level. We will explore ways to assess if your client is ready for advanced jumpboard exercises, and how to develop the skills your clients need for the additional challenge. At the end of the workshop you will have an increased repertoire of jumpboard exercises, including arm jumping (both prone and kneeling), jumping mermaids, side plank jumping, and more!

August 6: One Blue Spring: Programming for Reformer

How do you plan a class around one spring? This workshop is focused on class programming for any level or ability with minimal to no spring changes. Learn the basic principles so you can create your own class flow. We'll focus on how to streamline a class on one spring tension, how to group exercises together in order to optimize the class, and how to use the Reformer in a three dimensional way. The first part of the workshop will break down the primary movements and the second part will put it all together, with time for questions at the end.

September 11: The Art of Teaching With Connection

From utilizing Inclusive language to modifying without making things "easy," you will leave the workshop armed with Ideas and tools to support everyone who shows up to your classes or private sessions.

November 12: Manual Cueing Like a Pro
This 2 hour workshop will focus on how to manually cue clients with a deeper anatomical understanding. We'll explore how manual cueing differs with the external input of the apparatus, how the body reacts with feedback and input from the springs versus the ropes, and how can guide and enhance the movement experience for them. Additionally, you'll learn how to build rapport with clients, establish safety and trust, and navigate how to appropriately tactile cue.
Equipment Needed: This workshop can be attended through observation only or to follow along, please have access to a Reformer, Chair, Springboard, and TRX If possible. Having a body to practice tactile cueing on will be beneficial.
