Energize your Pilates sessions and elevate your teaching with Jumpboard cardio—a dynamic
workshop designed to help instructors confidently integrate safe, effective, and creative cardio into Reformer programming.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to seamlessly add Jumpboard work to your classes while
maintaining the core principles of Pilates. You’ll gain a clear understanding of proper setup and
safety, including how to correctly attach the Jumpboard for your specific Reformer model, and
how to prepare clients with an effective warm-up using Jumpboard footwork.
Develop a strong foundation in foot and ankle mechanics, mastering toe-ball-heel articulation
for efficient, joint-friendly jumping. You’ll also deepen your understanding of lumbo-pelvic
stability, learning when to cue imprint versus neutral and how to assess when a client is truly
ready to progress to more advanced jumping exercises.
This workshop emphasizes intelligent progressions, teaching you how to build exercises
sequentially to increase challenge while preserving control and precision. You’ll expand your
teaching repertoire with creative supine, side-lying and prone jumping exercises, ranging
from beginner to intermediate, with an introduction to more advanced variations. You’ll also explore how to strategically use props—including the Ball, FlexBand, Magic Circle,
Dumbbells, and Pilates Box—to enhance coordination, increase cardiovascular demand, and
add variety to your classes. Finally, you’ll gain clarity on spring tension choices so you can align programming with your
class goals.
By the end of this workshop, you’ll feel confident designing safe, challenging, and engaging
Jumpboard workouts that boost cardiovascular fitness, build strength, and keep clients excited
to come back for more.

Thurs, Aug 13: Building Private Training Programs for Imperfect Movers - Part 1: Reformer
with Marilyn Burrell
12p PT/3p ET
Most clients do not arrive as “ideal movers.” They come with asymmetries, compensations, pain histories, and nervous systems shaped by injury, stress, or repetitive patterns. This two-part continuing education series is designed to equip Pilates instructors with the skills, confidence, and structure needed to assess, prioritize, and program effectively for dysfunctional movement patterns in private training settings.
Rather than chasing perfection, this course teaches you how to work intelligently within what’s present, creating programming that restores balance, builds trust, and produces sustainable change. Choose to take Part 1, Part 2, or both.
Part 1 lays the foundation for working with imperfect movers by refining your ability to see movement clearly and make strategic programming decisions in real time. You’ll learn how to evaluate clients during a private session, identify primary versus secondary imbalances, and design Reformer-based sessions that support correction without overwhelming the client.
This course emphasizes practical application, helping instructors move beyond generic templates into intentional, client-specific programming.

Part 2 expands on the assessment and programming principles from Part 1 by introducing the Cadillac as a powerful tool for corrective movement and nervous system reorganization. This module is designed for instructors ready to deepen their private training skillset and work more precisely with complex presentations.
Part 2 is ideal for instructors who want to expand their corrective toolbox, increase confidence working with complex bodies, and elevate the quality of their private training offerings.

Thurs, Sept 10: Pilates Anatomy Lab: The Sacrum
with Kim Cremin
12p PT/3p ET
The sacrum sits at the crossroads of force transfer between the upper and lower body, yet it remains a mystery to many movement teachers. This lecture-to-practice style workshop explores the sacrum as a dynamic structure that influences spinal movement, pelvic organization, and lower-extremity function.
Through visual aids, movement exploration and Pilates-based exercises, participants will examine proper sacroiliac joint mechanics and the relationships between the sacrum, pelvis, lumbar spine, and hips. We’ll explore how sacral orientation affects load sharing, movement efficiency and overall coordination. Learn how to cue the pelvis, hips and lumbar spine in ways that support the healthy movement of the sacrum.
This workshop is designed for Pilates instructors seeking to deepen their anatomical understanding and apply it directly to real-world teaching scenarios.
