I always refer to Pilates as the great equalizer. It’s not about strength or endurance, it’s about precision and control. It connects the dots between mental and physical movement and allows us to challenge ourselves and grow in areas that we possibly haven’t thought about in a while. Aside from being accessible to all, it helps us recreate balance within our bodies and our day. There are a million restorative and rehabilitative aspects; they all contribute to us breathing deeper, sitting taller, thinking more clearly, and moving better.
