Yvonne began her teaching career as a Team Leader at Ascent, a school for individuals with Autism. It was during this time that she realized she not only had a passion for teaching students with Autism but also a love for training other staff members. As a fitness enthusiast, she fell in love with Pilates at a young age. It only made sense that she would become certified to teach Pilates as well and then eventually a master trainer. She brings the same enthusiasm for teaching in a classroom setting as she does to teaching in the studio!

 

Yvonne studied Pilates and became certified at IMX in Manhattan and then assisted with opening a studio on Long Island. Teaching and managing that studio for 5 years gave her the opportunity to teach students ranging from 15-70+ years old....from beginners to advanced. She also enjoys working with and helping students/athletes rehabilitating injuries. While her teaching style is challenging, she is also nurturing and supportive. Yvonne designs classes that are creative and engaging, meeting her students individual needs. As a Master Trainer, Yvonne has trained more than 150 Teacher Trainer Students who have gone through the Comprehensive Club Pilates Teacher Training certification program. She prides herself on supporting those Instructors "forever." For Yvonne, it’s about connecting and mentoring her students, not only through the program, but also throughout their careers.

 

Yvonne has a larger than life personality and brings that energy to every class and teacher training programs she teaches, along with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the Pilates practice. Club Pilates is excited and honored to have Yvonne as a part of the team!
