ABOUT ERIN

Erin DeNardis, Lead Instructor, began Pilates more than 18 years ago. She holds an MA in Education College Administration, BA in Elementary Education, and was a teacher at various grade levels for 12 years. She was elected to Vice-President of her teacher’s union by her peers and volunteered to work with students studying to become teachers which became a practice she engaged in while obtaining her master’s degree. She started her journey with Pilates after completing her college years when she was recruited as a scholarship athlete at the University of Louisville. Suffering from repetitive movement injuries, Erin’s journey began with classical Pilates which she states was a foundation that she is forever grateful for. Through the love of Pilates, she learned to redefine and strengthen her movement patterns resulting in living life pain-free. Fitness has been part of Erin’s life from a very young age, competitive swimming at the age of 5, and being raised by parents who were athletes themselves. Fun Fact: her father was a golden glove boxer in South Philly and played semi-pro baseball and in the NFL.

Erin holds a comprehensive Pilates certification as well as Barre, TRX, Functional Movement Specialists, and Bosu. She continues her education by working with movement pros and attending many workshops on Athletic reformers, Sports Injuries, and Pelvic Floor Strength. In her 18 years of practicing and teaching, Erin has worked with many pre and post-rehab, back pain/scoliosis, pregnancy and post-pregnancy clients all working towards the goal of a safer, stronger, and healthier self. Erin enjoys teaching her clients the many benefits of Pilates including reduction of stress through the understanding and movement of our breath, postural strength improving confidence, increased energy, and overall self-improvement. She enjoys working with teacher trainees in her studios as they have completed programs moving on to become confident, well-trained instructors sharing the passion she instills.

When not in the studio, Erin enjoys her own Pilates Practice, running as well as time at home with her husband, three boys, and their Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy, Kali.
