Meet Your Master Trainer!

Angela Herlofsky & Tina Gingras
Angela Herlofsky
Angela Herlofsky, a former dancer, began her pilates career in 1998 at the Pilates Studio of Los Angeles. She was trained in classical Pilates by Melinda Bryan PT, who was under the guidance of Romana Kryzanowska and worked alongside Jay Grimes, both revered elders of the Pilates community. Angela was certified in 1999 through the Physicalmind Institute and has been teaching full-time for the past 27 years. She is certified by the National Pilates Certification Program, along with many other modalities, including TRX, Barre Above, and Trigger Point.

In 2016, Angela began her relationship with the first Club Pilates in the Minneapolis Market. She became a Master Trainer for the franchise in 2017 and has since led over 49 Comprehensive Teacher Training programs, and several instructor on-boarding workshops, with well over 100 graduates. She comes with a solid Classical Background, yet she has experience with many styles of Pilates, from contemporary to rehab-based and everything in between. She brings an experience level and quality of teaching that gives her students a full scope of the industry. Her teaching offers students a unique perspective that aims to retain the essence of Pilates, combined with modern knowledge, so that they may evolve the work without distorting that which sets it apart.

‘My goal is to inspire quality instructors with critical thinking capabilities that elevate their teaching far beyond so much of what we are seeing coming out of so many of today's Pilates programs.

In addition to Pilates, Angela holds a degree in Psychology from the College of St. Benedict. She is an Ashtanga/Vinyasa Yoga Instructor, RYT200, a Thai Yoga Bodywork practitioner, and is a certified Labor Doula by both DONA International and Childbirth International. Angela was on staff as a Doula at HCMC in Minneapolis for 11 years and has attended over 400 births. A lifelong learner, her current aspiration is to be a floral farmer/designer.

In her free time, Angela can be found traveling the world, snowboarding the Swiss Alps, surfing in Costa Rica, or just hanging out in her treehouse in Northern Minnesota.

Tina Gingras
Tina is a nationally certified Pilates teacher who is dedicated to helping people achieve their fitness and wellness goals. Her focus is on changing movement patterns or habits so you can be stronger, move better, and reduce chronic pain.

Tina began teaching for Club Pilates in 2014 and became a Master Trainer in 2020. She was selected as one of the top 10 Nominees for the 2018 Club Pilates Instructor of the Year. What she loves most about teaching and training is the connections made with each client and the inspiration gleaned from sharing a few invaluable hours in their lives.

Along with Pilates, Tina has certifications in TRX, Barre Above and Triggerpoint Foam Rolling. She maintains certifications with the American Council of Exercise as a Group and Youth Fitness Instructor. In 2021, she completed her advanced training in Pilates for Neurological Conditions from the NeuroStudio in New York and gained her Functional Aging Specialist Certification with the Functional Aging Institute.
