Meet Your Master Trainer!

Samantha Palmer

Samantha’s passion for mindful, strength-based movement began early through her lifelong dedication to dance. She credits her continued ability to dance—and even take classical ballet classes—to the support and resilience she gained through Pilates. While studying Dance Performance at the University of California, Irvine, she was first introduced to Pilates and immediately noticed significant improvements in her strength, technique, and overall movement quality.

After graduating with her B.A. in Dance Performance, Samantha’s interest in Pilates deepened. She was invited to study at Studio Du Corps in Costa Mesa under her esteemed professor, Diane Diefenderfer, where she completed two and a half years of intensive training. By her second year, she was already teaching mat classes. Samantha later relocated to San Francisco to pursue a career in dance.

When she returned to her hometown of Bakersfield to recover from an illness, Samantha realized how impactful Pilates could be for her community. She began teaching and went on to earn certifications through Balanced Body University and Club Pilates. She now serves as the Lead Instructor at her home studio and is a Club Pilates Master Trainer.

Samantha is also a devoted mother to her nine-year-old daughter, Maddie, and her infant son, Logan—both of whom “experienced Pilates from the inside out,” as she was able to continue practicing and teaching safely throughout both pregnancies.

Passionate about sharing the transformative benefits of Pilates, Samantha believes that people of all ages can experience greater strength, awareness, and ease of movement through a consistent practice.
