Tracy’s lifelong love of movement began early, training in tap, ballet, jazz, acrobatics, and cheerleading. Her dedication to physical activity continued throughout college, where she competed as an athlete and developed a deep appreciation for the connection between movement, health, and overall well-being.
Tracy discovered Pilates while on vacation. She took her first mat class and was immediately captivated. Inspired by the experience, she returned home determined to learn more. She earned her initial certification through Power Pilates in Chicago and later expanded her education with Integrated Balance in 2006. Tracy began her Club Pilates journey in 2018 through the Bridge Training Program, earning her place as one of the first Louisville-based Club Pilates instructors.
In the fall of 2024, Tracy went to Pilates Fit Studio to explore the original Pilates work on the original apparatus. After months of immersing herself in the method and falling in love with the classical approach, she began mentoring with senior teachers at PFS. Her dedication led her to continue her studies under second-generation teacher Clare Dunphy through the Elevate Program, deepening her understanding of Joseph Pilates’ original system and lineage.
Tracy holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Kentucky. Before starting her family, she built a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry. She and her husband, John, have four children, Cole, Hadley, Jack, and Emerson, and three dogs that keep their household lively.
For Tracy, teaching Pilates is more than a profession; it is a calling. She finds joy in helping clients build strength, improve mobility, and discover a deeper connection to their bodies. Her approach blends warmth, precision, and passion for the classical work, empowering clients to move confidently and live healthier, more balanced lives.
