Pilates Journey & Philosophy

Tami’s commitment to Pilates is personal. After a back injury left her living with chronic pain for six years, her doctor recommended Pilates as the next step in her recovery following physical therapy. By complete coincidence, Club Pilates Sandy opened that very weekend. From her very first time on the Reformer, Tami felt immediate improvement in her back pain—marking the beginning of a lifelong dedication to the practice.
That recovery transformed her physical health and reshaped her career. Teaching since 2019, Tami’s approach is grounded in purposeful movement, alignment, and practical anatomy across the full spectrum of apparatus. At the core of her teaching philosophy is the belief that Pilates is for everybody. In her classes, success isn't about perfection;it's about listening to your body, making smart modifications or progressions, and feeling empowered during every single workout.
Whether leading energetic group reformer classes or working one-on-one in a private session, Tami thrives on connection. Over the course of her teaching career, she has developed a special passion for active aging and longevity—helping older adults build balance, bone density, and strength so they can maintain independence and enjoy a vibrant quality of life.

At home, you’ll most likely find her baking sugar cookies or unwinding with her two cats, Herbie and Frida.
